The Institute of Aesthetics and Art Culture, the Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov and The Society for Aesthetics in Slovakia invites you to the 8th scientific conference The Coordinates of Aesthetics, Art and Culture.
The aim of the conference is to recontextualize the current needs of education and aesthetic education with a focus on creativity and experientiality. Contemporary artistic-educational and educational practice can draw motivation and inspiration from aesthetics and related academic disciplines. The themes on aesthetics, philosophy of education and philosophy of art, theory of art, and theories and teaching methods of artistic education and the links between them are especially encouraged. The objective of the conference is to initiate a discussion about innovative teaching methods of artistic education, creative and experiential teaching methods, and the challenges that aesthetics itself faces at present, including social and political facts.
Abstracts not exceeding 300 words shall be reviewed by the conference committee and must be anonymous. Conference languages include Slovak, Czech, and English. Abstracts must be sent via e-mail as attachments in *.docx or *.pdf files to apply.coordinates@ff.unipo.sk, and all submissions must include the following information in the body of the email: author name, affiliation, contact details. Please indicate in your email whether you would be interested in serving as chair in one of the conference sessions.
